David Perdew (the guy who owns MyNAMS and runs the NAMS conferences each year) is celebrating his 60th birthday this weekend…and to celebrate, he’s opening up sales to NAMS 9, which is taking place February 8th – 10th, 2013, in Atlanta, Georgia.
So for the next 3 days, you can get your early bird registration at the lowest price it will ever be offered.
- If you’re already a MyNams Member, you pay $97
- If you’re not a member and just want to come to the conference, you pay $197
- If you’re not a member but want to go to NAMS 9 AND become a lifetime member, it’s just $244
So if you’re not already a lifetime member of MyNAMS, you can become a lifetime member for just $47 more than the price of the non-member workshop registration price. This also means that you’ll get the low member prices from now on!
The NAMS events happen twice a year. I went in August, and it was my first event.
I enjoyed it so much that while I was still there, I purchased my ticket to NAMS 9.
For me to say that…it’s a lot!
Why?
I’m really shy. It’s really hard for me to talk to people that I don’t know, so I didn’t know how the event would go. I was afraid I would want to spend the whole time hiding in my room!
But everyone was SO nice, that it was a whole lot easier. I didn’t hide in my room once! Every evening I was out in the lobby talking to different people, and it went really well.
I met so many great people that I even still talk to them now, a few months later!
I look forward to seeing them again, and am looking forward to meeting a lot of new people as well.
Now, let’s talk about the main point of NAMS…the different sessions.
There are 4 different tracks, so that you can go to the classes that are at your level. You wouldn’t want to go to something too basic for you, but you wouldn’t want to go to a session that was too advanced either.
I went back and forth between the 300 and 400 level sessions, depending on which session was more interesting to me. I took a LOT of notes, and have put a lot of things into action!
I still have a lot to things I want to put into action..but that’s good because I still have about 4 months until the next workshop.
If you have any questions at all about NAMS, please ask them, as I was there for NAMS 8 and would be happy to answer any of your questions.
