Russell Brunson’s – Do you Suck at Making Money?

If you’re looking to learn from a successful Internet Marketer, you should take a look at Russell Brunson. He has many products, has done many seminars, and knows what he’s doing.

While I have not been lucky enough to attend a seminar of his in person yet, I have seen him do seminars online, as well as have bought multiple products from him.   I think he really has it together, and over delivers on everything.

No matter how much you know about having an online business, or how successful the business is, you can always learn more. Watching “Do You Suck at Making Money” gave me a few great ideas, even though I already knew how to make money online.

Who is this product for? It’s for anyone who has a product they are trying to sell, and wants to make more sales, or who is having problems selling their product. If you don’t have a product, but have an idea for one, this is worth getting as well, as after watching the DVD you’ll want to hurry up and create your product!

How much does it cost? $9.97. Actually, the product itself is free. The $9.97 is the cost for shipping & handling, and believe me, it’s worth it. On the website he lists the original price as $99.95, and the product would definitely be worth that as well.

What will this product teach me? It will teach you how to make more money by giving your product away for free than if you were trying to sell your product. It sounds crazy, but you’ll understand it as soon as you start watching the videos. It really is an incredible idea, and I implemented it on quite a few of my websites already.

Bonuses? Of course. There are bonuses with almost everything these days. You’ll get 2 bonuses. The first is Russel Brunson’s Desktop Mentor Software, and the second is 14 days of access to Russell Brunson’s DotComSecrets membership site. Again, I have seen both, and they are also very helpful.

In short, if you sell products, or want to sell products, “Do you suck at making money” will be very insightful, and may give you a few ideas on how to earn more with your products.

Where to Sign up for Affiliate Marketing Programs

I recently went through the process of explaining how affiliate marketing works, so that if you wanted to become an affiliate marketer, you would know where to start.  If you now know how it works and want to get started, the first thing you probably want to do is sign up for a few big affiliate networks so that you can join their affiliate programs.

There are a TON of affiliate programs out there, and quite a few affiliate networks as well.  Some are big and have hundreds of affiliate programs in them, while others have only the one affiliate program.  You’ll also find everything in between.

Here is a list of some affiliate networks that you can sign up for that will get you started.  Of course there are more, and in future posts I’ll list them, as well as go more into detail about the networks, but for now, here is a list of some of the big ones, and what they offer.  We are signed up for all of these, so I can tell you that they are real, and that you will get paid from them.

• Linkshare – They have hundreds of affiliate programs. Just to name a few: Orbitz, Toys R US, Macy’s, Walmart, Disney, and many many more.
• Commission Junction – They have over 1,000 affiliate programs. Just to name a few: Gap, Staples, Best Buy, Carnival Cruise Line, Ulta, and many more.
• Google Affiliate Network – They also have hundreds of affiliate programs. Just to name a few: Target, Barnes & Noble, Sears, Kohl’s, Nike, and many many more.
• Share a Sale – They have a lot of affiliate programs as well. Just to name a few: Checks Unlimited, Best Deal Magazines, Baghaus, Mario Badescu, Scrapbook.com, and more.
• Pepperjam Network – They have many affiliate programs as well. Just to name a few: Warner Brothers, Star Trek, Sesame Street, Jelly Belly, iGourmet, and more.
• Amazon – This is the affiliate program for Amazon alone, but considering how many products they sell (and at such low prices), they belong here.
• ClickBank – If you’re looking to promote digital products, this is the place. They have hundreds and hundreds of digital products to promote.

How Does Affiliate Marketing Work?

In yesterday’s post, I wrote about what affiliate marketing is, along with an example using Amazon’s affiliate program. Now I want to go over exactly how affiliate marketing works, so that you know exactly what you’re doing once you’re ready to start making money with affiliate marketing.

Here is a list of the steps you’ll have to follow.  I’ll go more into detail below:

• Find a product you want to promote.
• Find out where their affiliate program is.
• Log in to (or sign up for) the Affiliate Network that hosts that affiliate program.
• Join that company’s affiliate program.
• Get a link to the product you want to promote.
• Put the link on your website, in your email, or wherever you want so that others can click on it.
• Make Money.

Once you know what you’re doing, it really is that simple.  Plus, once you’re a member of a lot of affiliate programs, each time you’ll only have to do the last few steps – get the link, and give it out.  It’s only the first time you want to join an affiliate program that you’ll have the extra steps.  Now, in more detail, is what you’ll want to do the first time you promote a product from a website.

First, you find a product that you want to promote (and that has an affiliate program, of course.) Let’s say that you found a shirt at Macy’s that you really like, or a hockey jersey at the Sports Authority. Both of these products are things that you not only like, but you think are good deals, and you want to share them with others. How do you do it, and make money at the same time? It’s pretty easy from there.

Now that you know what stores you want to promote, you need to know where their affiliate programs are. If a website has an affiliate program, you’ll usually find the “affiliate program” link at the bottom, which will bring you to a page where you can sign up for it. If not, you can usually Google the name of the website plus affiliate program to find out what Affiliate Network they use to host their affiliate program. For both Macy’s and Sports Authority, that company is Linkshare.

This is a good place to let you know that most websites/stores use another company to host their affiliate program. They don’t do it themselves. There are a bunch of big Affiliate Networks that you will deal with to get links to the affiliate programs, which makes it much easier to deal with. So for example, Linkshare is a great Affiliate Network  that you can sign up with, and then join multiple affiliate programs through them. Once you sign up with the Linkshare Affiliate Program, you’ll be able to see all of the companies that have their affiliate programs through them, and can sign up for the ones you wish. This is by far the easiest way to find out what companies have an affiliate program.

So, once you sign up for a free Linkshare account, you’d sign up to be an affiliate of Macy’s, and the Sports Authority. Once you are accepted, you’ll be able to see all of the links and banners that they have available. Sometimes you can get a link to a specific item that you want to promote (such as that hockey jersey from Sports Authority), while other times you might only be able to link to the category (such as women’s clothes for Macy’s.) Now, you  pick the links that you want, and get them out there.  In other words, you can put them on your website, or send them in an email to people you know.  You just want other people to see that link, click on it, and then buy the item.  If they do, you will get a small percentage of the commission.

How will you know that you did?  When you log into Linkshare (or any other Affiliate Network like this) you’ll be able to see many reports, such as how many people clicked on the links, how many people purchased items, how much was spent, and most importantly…how much you earned.

Then, Linkshare (or another Affiliate Network that you signed up for) will send you a check for what you earned from all of the affiliate programs that they manage.

It really is that simple. You share links of products that you like, and when others buy them, you get a small percentage of the commission.

The Fastest Way to Get Started in an Online Business – Affiliate Marketing

Are you ready to start making money online right NOW? You don’t want to wait anymore, you will learn more about the right way to do it later, you’ll build your online business later, but just want to get started before another day has gone by?

If this sounds like you, take a look at Affiliate Marketing. What is Affiliate Marketing? Basically, you help someone else who already has a product or service sell that product or service. If you are the person who gets someone to buy it, you’ll get a cut. For example, there is an Amazon Affiliate Program. If your friend just went to the Amazon website and bought something, Amazon would make all of the money. If on the other hand you were an Amazon affiliate, and told your friend about a product…and they went and bought it at Amazon though the link you gave them, you’d get a percentage of the sale.

So basically you don’t have to have anything, and you can still make money. You don’t need a product, website, or anything really. Of course, the more people who click on your link to go to that Amazon link and buy from it, the more you’ll make, but this is just the beginning.

It’s definitely the quickest way, as you don’t need to spend time creating a product, a website, or anything else for that matter.

Now that you know what an Affiliate Program is, you might want to know what types of companies have Affiliate Programs (besides Amazon’s Affiliate Program of course.) Many companies out there have affiliate programs. You’d be surprised how many companies have affiliate programs. From companies you know that have stores near you (such as Target, Macy’s, Walmart, and more), to others that are online only companies (Orbitz, Amazon, Overstock, etc.), to small companies you’ve never heard of, but have great products.

So if you are the one who gets someone to buy something – from a store they might already know about – you’ll make a cut.  The more people you share the products (with your link) with, the more money you’ll make.

You can become an affiliate of all of these programs for free, and there are PLENTY of them.  In a future post I’ll share a bunch of my favorite affiliate programs.

Learn about Internet Marketing from Internet Marketers

Whether you’re just starting your new business, or have had it for years, one thing you’ll always need to know (and keep up with) is Internet Marketing.
